Welcome to Data management and documentation using redcap and stata
Program: Epidemiology and Biostatistics
Description:
The course will provide the participants with hands-on experience in handling data collected in REDCap, setting up forms, documenting the data management process and exporting data to use in e.g. STATA.
The course provides an overview of the audit trail and allows hands on experience in creating a dataset ready for statistical analyses including labelling, double entry, error corrections and data modification in a reproducible way.
In STATA we learn to conduct analyses, including the production of ready-made tables and figures in a way which is reproducible, using build-in functions and avoiding manually changing tables and figures. We will also present ways of repeating programming (for each…{) to limit the length of do-files and thus risk of errors.
Participants work on data documentation of own or provided data between the two lessons.
