Career opportunities, career planning and transferable skills within and beyond academia (Online)

The abilities to make well-founded career decisions and to manage own career direction and professional profile – whether or not you choose to stay in academia – have become important career skills for PhD-students.

In this workshop, we will cover the following questions:

·       How to use your PhD period in the best possible way – careerwise?
·       What is career management skills and what does a PhD enable you to do?
·       Is career planning possible? And if so, how to find the right career pathway and set goals?
·       How to handle career crossroads and how to deal with our future work-life when much is uncertain and when we can’t know what the future holds.

You will get hands-on advice as well as an opportunity to reflect on your future career, how to handle transitions processes and your professional identity. We will alter between presentations, group discussions, individual tasks, experience sharing, reflective processes and Q&A in plenum.
