Welcome to: SEMINAR FOR SCIENTISTS

PATENTING, COMMERCIALIZATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP

DAY 1: PATENTING AND COMMERCIALIZATION

It is well known that university scientists create a lot of new ideas and drive the innovation of noveltechnologies. But as a scientist do you know: what makes a good idea into a patentable invention? What to do when you make the invention? How to communicate with companies and investors about the invention? And that commercialization of your invention can assure funds for your research?

The 1st day of this seminar gives you an introduction into the areas of patenting and commercialization, such as IPR and protection, different routes of commercialization, assuring funding to inventions and collaboration with industry.

DAY 2: ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The ability to work with business development and business planning is becoming a very sought after skill and an increased focus on commercialization and spin out companies is increasingly highlighting an alternative career path within high technology. The 2nd day of this seminar will give you an introduction to different aspects of business planning, business modeling and various other aspects of the commercialization and start up process.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

The seminar will be held in English and will be open to scientists and company delegates with an interest in IPR, commercialization, business models and starting up companies.
