PhD Day 2022

Dear PhD students, supervisors and colleagues. Save the date for the annual PhD day of the Doctoral School in Medicine, Biomedical Science and Technology – AUGUST 17 FROM 12.30-17.00.

This year again you can bring your own poster (former presented poster are welcome) no matter the progress of your research. You can also participate without presenting  (does not grant ECTS).

The main purpose is to present and discuss with fellow PhD students and researchers that you do not meet every day at the coffee machine. Share knowledge and gain inspiration for future research or potential collaboration.

PROGRAM

  • 12.30 – 13.00: Welcome and new from the faculty – Vice-dean of Research and Innovation, Ole Kæseler Andersen & Head of Graduate School, Pascal Madeleine
  • 13:00- 13:30: Poster presentation round 1
  • 13.30 – 14.00: Keynote speaker Silvia Mucelli, PhD, Chalmers University of Technology: A PhD from Aalborg University as a springboard for my career
  • 14.00 – 14.15: Coffee break
  • 14.15 – 14.45: Poster presentation round 2
  • 14.45 – 15.15: Keynote speaker Stine Linding Andersen, PhD, Dr.Med, Aalborg University Hospital: PhD and career development as medical doctor and researcher
  • 15.15 – 15.30: Best poster award
  • 15.30 – 15.45: Closing remarks - Head of Graduate School, Pascal Madeleine
  • 15.45 – 17.00: Networking accompanied by a small refreshment

  • ECTS: 1 ECTS is granted for ACTIVE participation (poster presentation)
  • Registration: Accept the calendar invite sent to you from AAU PhD and register to the course via PhD moodle – you must also upload your poster here.
  • Location: Auditorium Medicinerhuset Aalborg University Hospital:  Medicinerhuset, 3. floor Mølleparkvej 4, 9000 Aalborg
  • Active participation is mandatory at least once during your time as a PhD student
  • Poster format is up to you to decide. We will provide posters boards and pins
