Welcome to Thrombocardiology

Description:
This course will provide an overview of experimental, epidemiological and practical aspects of thrombocardiology, with the main purpose to advance the understanding of the pathogenesis, prevention, treatment and clinical manifestations of thromboembolic complications. The following topics will be covered: Pathophysiology, pathogenesis, epidemiology, prophylaxis and treatment for thrombosis.

Literature
Selected important papers will be notified during the course.

Prerequisites
Ph.D.-students and others interested in the experimental, epidemiological and practical aspects of thrombocardiology.

Evaluation
An oral evaluation will be performed at the end of the course.
