Welcome to New Energy technology based Integrated Energy Systems

Description:

The course will provide training and education on the subject of new energy technology based integrated energy systems. The Ph.D. course will include fundamental knowledge of energy sources, energy conversion systems, new energy technologies, energy system integration, transmission, and distribution. Basic techniques of analysis, operation and control will be presented. Some contents are based on up-to-date research results. The main topics are as follows:  Overview of modern energy resources and systems  Basics of energy conversion systems  Renewable energy technologies  Basics of nuclear energy systems  Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Systems for Nuclear Applications  Nonlinear control of energy systems  Advanced technologies and emerging facilities for energy system integration  Optimization techniques applied in integrated energy systems

Important information concerning PhD courses: We have over some time experienced problems with no-show for both project and general courses. It has now reached a point where we are forced to take action. Therefore, the Doctoral School has decided to introduce a no-show fee of DKK 5,000 for each course where the student does not show up. Cancellations are accepted no later than 2 weeks before start of the course. Registered illness is of course an acceptable reason for not showing up on those days. Furthermore, all courses open for registration approximately four months before start. This can hopefully also provide new students a chance to register for courses during the year. We look forward to your registrations.
